DR ‹ › The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad announced that the Kingdom of Morocco welcomes the declaration of a ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The ministry, in a statement, affirmed that the Kingdom of Morocco supports the negotiations intended to be facilitated by Pakistan. The Kingdom expressed its hope that these negotiations will lead to a lasting peace that enhances stability in the region and takes into account the supreme interests of the brotherly Arab countries in the Gulf. The statement noted that the Kingdom of Morocco emphasizes the importance of ensuring navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in accordance with international maritime law.
