The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra regional league emerged victorious in the 2024-2025 Throne Cup for men's senior boxing on Sunday, held at the Ben M'sik Sports Complex in Casablanca. The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra League secured the top spot with an impressive haul of nine medals, including four gold and five bronze, outpacing the Casablanca-Settat League, which collected 10 medals (three gold, one silver, and six bronze). The Marrakech-Safi League claimed third place with nine medals (three gold, one silver, and five bronze). In the women's category, the Casablanca-Settat regional league dominated the competition, capturing the title with a total of 13 medals, including nine gold, one silver, and three bronze. They outperformed the Marrakech-Safi boxers, who earned six medals (two gold and four bronze). The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region finished third, securing eight medals (one gold, two silver, and five bronze). Gold medalist Wissal Fakhir, representing the victorious region, expressed her pride in the achievement and vowed to intensify her efforts to achieve her dream of representing the national team in international competitions. Nabil Hilmi, vice-president of the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation (FRMB), highlighted the significance of the Throne Cup for national boxers, noting that it serves as a valuable platform to evaluate the skill levels of boxers from various regions across the kingdom. This prestigious event also featured participation from leagues representing the regions of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, the Oriental, Fès-Meknès, Souss-Massa, and the Southern Provinces.
