Police in the Fida Mers Sultan district of Casablanca arrested 12 individuals on Tuesday suspected of involvement in violent acts and sports-related riots that left one citizen permanently disabled and caused damage to several private vehicles. The arrests followed clashes between two groups of football supporters, during which the suspects allegedly exchanged stones and launched fireworks. The confrontation resulted in serious injuries to a passerby and material damage to multiple parked cars. Police patrols intervened swiftly to restore order and detain the suspects shortly after the brawl began. The detainees have been placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor to determine the circumstances of the incident and each individual's level of involvement. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend additional suspects connected to the violence.
