The Port of Cádiz in Spain has reestablished container transport links with Morocco, launching a new maritime route to the Port of Casablanca after a hiatus lasting several years. This fresh maritime corridor, operated by Tailwind Shipping Lines under the DEX (Dolphin Express Service) banner, connects the ports of Moerdijk (Netherlands), Antwerp (Belgium), Setúbal (Portugal), Cádiz, Casablanca (Morocco), and Barcelona, before continuing on to Asian ports, as reported by Spanish media outlets. The route was inaugurated with the arrival of the ship «Panda 004» at the Port of Cádiz, celebrated with an official ceremony to mark this significant milestone. The vessels «Panda 003» and «Panda 005» are expected to join the service in the coming weeks, ensuring the route's regular operation. According to the Cádiz Port Authority, this renewed maritime link reopens a direct commercial channel with Morocco, anticipated to enhance export and import activities between Andalusia and North Africa. It offers new options for cargo shipping and diversifies existing maritime routes.
