Last Wednesday morning, the Spanish Civil Guard apprehended a sub-Saharan migrant who had entered Ceuta from Fnideq using a paraglider. As reported by the Spanish news agency, the migrant successfully crossed the border by leveraging the strong winds and heavy rain that swept through the region. A Civil Guard source indicated that ground patrols, tasked with securing the border fence, detected the flight, monitored its trajectory until it landed, and subsequently detained the individual. This marks the second such incident in recent weeks. On October 3rd, another migrant employed the same daring method, managing to reach the temporary migrant shelter before security forces could spot him, leaving the paraglider in a mountainous area within the city.
