The King's Public Prosecutor General at the Casablanca Court of Appeal announced that, on November 7, the public prosecutor's office, having been informed of the death of Sion Shimon Harim Baroch Assidon, ordered an autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation under its supervision. The autopsy was carried out by a tripartite medical commission composed of forensic experts. According to the investigation's findings, the death resulted from infectious complications (sepsis) caused by a head injury that included cerebral hemorrhages, brain contusions, and a skull fracture, the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement. These conclusions, consistent with the preliminary investigation, support the hypothesis that the deceased fell from a ladder while gardening, the same source added. The prosecutor's office emphasized that it will ensure the appropriate legal measures are taken upon completion of the investigation. The statement also recalled that, following the prosecutor's announcement on August 19, regarding the case of the late Sion Shimon Harim Baroch Assidon, who had been found unconscious at his home and transported to hospital, instructions had been given to the judicial police to open an investigation, the results of which have now been made public.
