In a vibrant celebration of cinema, the 22nd edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival (November 28–December 6, 2025) will welcome sixteen renowned filmmakers and actors for its Conversations program, an open platform for dialogue between artists, audiences, and industry professionals. Among the festival's headline guests are Bong Joon Ho, who chairs this year's jury, Guillermo del Toro, Andrew Dominik, and acclaimed actors Laurence Fishburne and Jodie Foster. Other notable participants include Karan Johar, Bill Kramer, Nadine Labaki, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Jafar Panahi, Tahar Rahim, and Egyptian cinema icon Yousra. Two themed panels will also feature at this year's edition. The first, with Virginie Efira and Chiara Mastroianni, will explore acting and artistic freedom. The second, «Filming Memory: Between Collective History and the Personal», will bring together Moroccan filmmakers Asmae El Moudir and Karima Saïdi to discuss memory, exile, and social change in Moroccan documentary cinema. According to organizers, these exchanges reflect the festival's spirit as «a space where cinema is shared, questioned, and reinvented», offering audiences a closer look at the creative processes shaping contemporary film.
