This year's Marrakech International Film Festival, running from November 28 to December 6, 2025, will be chaired by acclaimed South Korean director Bong Joon Ho. The jury, showcasing a rich tapestry of global cinema talent, includes Moroccan filmmaker Hakim Belabbes among its eight members. Joining Bong Joon Ho on the jury are notable figures such as Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz, celebrated for his film «The Invisible Life of Eurídice Gusmão», which won the Un Certain Regard prize at Cannes, and Moroccan filmmaker Hakim Belabbes, known for his film «Fallen Walls» and his extensive teaching career in the United States and Morocco. French director Julia Ducournau, who captured the Palme d'Or with «Titane», is also part of the jury, alongside Iranian actor and director Payman Maadi, renowned for his role in Asghar Farhadi's «A Separation» and his numerous accolades, including the Golden Bear and Silver Bear at Berlin, and the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. American actress Jenna Ortega, famous for her role in the series «Wednesday» and Tim Burton's «Beetlejuice Beetlejuice», Canadian filmmaker Celine Song, creator of «Past Lives», and Anglo-Argentine actress Anya Taylor-Joy, who gained fame with «The Queen's Gambit», complete the distinguished panel.
