Morocco has granted eleven scholarships to Saint Lucian students, ten women and one man, through its Academic Cooperation Programme, allowing them to pursue studies in Moroccan public universities and vocational institutes. The scholarships, offered via the Moroccan International Cooperation Agency (AMCI), cover a wide range of fields including medicine, engineering, business management, agriculture, law, biology, chemistry, and geology. During a meeting with the recipients, Saint Lucia's Minister of Education, Shawn Edward, praised their academic merit while urging them to remain humble and resilient throughout their studies abroad. He also expressed «profound gratitude to the government and people of Morocco» for consistently opening doors for Saint Lucian youth to access higher education and specialized training. The eleven Saint Lucian students are expected to depart for Morocco by the end of November.
