The municipality of Tilburg, in the south of the Netherlands, has decided to permanently stop renting a former football clubhouse to the Moroccan Foundation Tilburg (MAST) after a police raid uncovered weapons, drugs, a shisha room, and even a bed in one of the changing rooms. The facility was raided on October 11 by four SWAT teams, who found drugs and weapons on visitors, inside the building, and in parked cars outside. The city had already ordered the building closed for four months starting December 11, but the municipal council has now decided to terminate the lease entirely, stating that the activities uncovered on-site «in no way fit within the permitted use» and that the presence of weapons and drugs is «very concerning». MAST has been asked to voluntarily end the lease; if it refuses, the city will seek termination through the courts. Tilburg had previously forgiven €8,300 of the foundation's rent in 2025, but €8,500 in outstanding arrears remain and must still be paid.
