The Royal Gendarmerie in Lahraouyine, near Casablanca, has detained a man in his forties after he was caught in the act inside a public bathhouse, following a coordinated operation with the bathhouse manager. The case involves allegations of suspected sexual harassment of a minor. According to information reported by Assabah, the intervention took place after the gendarmerie received a report about suspicious behavior inside the facility. Several customers had alerted the staff to concerning actions directed at a child who was bathing alone. A patrol was dispatched to the scene, with officers posing as customers to discreetly monitor the situation. They intervened when the suspect attempted to lead the minor into a separate area and shut the door. The suspect and the minor were taken to the gendarmerie headquarters, and the child's family was notified. An investigation was opened under the supervision of the public prosecutor. After completing the initial procedures, the suspect was presented before the General Prosecutor at the Casablanca Court of Appeal, who ordered his detention pending further legal action.
