DR ‹ › Snowfall from 1,400 meters in altitude and heavy rain, at times accompanied by thunderstorms, are expected from Friday through Sunday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). Snowfall of 30 to 50 cm is forecast from Friday at 12:00 p.m. until Sunday at 6:00 a.m. in the provinces of Midelt, Ouarzazate, and Tinghir, the DGM said in an orange-level weather alert. The provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Khenifra, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Al Haouz, and Taroudant will also see snowfall of 10 to 30 cm during the same period. Meanwhile, heavy rain, sometimes stormy, estimated at 20 to 30 mm, is expected from Friday at 12:00 p.m. to Saturday at 6:00 a.m. in the provinces of Tiznit, Tan-Tan, Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, and Tarfaya, the same source added.
