DR ‹ › The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, has sent a cable of condolences to King Mohammed VI following the deadly floods that hit the city of Safi. He expressed sympathy to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, reports Qatari media. The floods in Safi have so far claimed 37 lives and left dozens injured. The sudden torrents that submerged parts of the city, particularly the old medina, also prompted a three-day suspension of classes, as heavy rainfall is expected to continue until Thursday.
