DR ‹ › Royal Air Maroc is launching a new airbase at Tetouan–Sania Ramel Airport. This move comes on the heels of acquiring approximately ten new aircraft and opening over twenty international routes. A collaborative statement from the airline and the Moroccan National Tourist Office highlighted that this initiative, executed in partnership with the National Tourist Office, aims to boost air travel options in the northern region. It seeks to address the rising demand for international flights while complementing the existing services at the Tangier base. Starting March 27, Royal Air Maroc will offer direct flights from Tetouan to Paris, London-Gatwick, Brussels, Barcelona, Madrid, and Malaga. The airline will also increase domestic flights to Casablanca, adding three weekly flights to the current schedule of two flights on Fridays and Sundays. These routes will be serviced by the state-of-the-art Embraer 190 aircraft. Abdelhamid Addou, the CEO of Royal Air Maroc, stated that this new base is a strategic move to foster tourism development and strengthen ties between the northern region and European markets, enhancing its tourism and economic attractiveness. The statement also mentioned that tickets for these flights will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, January 7, 2026, through the airline's website, call centers, commercial agencies, and travel agencies.
