Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Thursday the inauguration of a new direct flight route between Casablanca and Los Angeles, scheduled to commence on June 7, 2026. The flight itinerary includes departures from Casablanca on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with takeoff at 4:00 AM and arrival in Los Angeles at 8:20 AM. Return flights from Los Angeles are set to depart at 10:20 AM, reaching Casablanca at 5:25 AM the following day. This groundbreaking air route, the first direct link (in 12 hours) between Africa and the Pacific coast of the United States, signifies a major step forward in expanding the national airline's long-haul network, RAM stated in a press release. This new connection addresses the increasing demand for intercontinental travel, particularly as the 2026 World Cup approaches. The route is designed to cater to the Moroccan and African diasporas, American tourists, business travelers, and Moroccan, African, and European fans planning to attend this global sporting event in the United States. «More than just a new destination, this route symbolizes efforts to bring Morocco closer to major global economic, tourist, and cultural hubs, reinforcing the kingdom's dynamic international openness», declared RAM's Chairman and CEO, Hamid Addou, as quoted in the press release. The flights will be operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliners, aircraft renowned for their comfort, performance, and state-of-the-art technology. With this new route, the airline strengthens its presence in North America, where it already serves New York, Washington, Miami, Montreal, and Toronto. Additionally, there will be an increase in flight frequencies on other key long-haul routes, including São Paulo, Miami, Washington, and Dubai. Tickets will be available for purchase starting Thursday, December 4, 2025, on the RAM website, through call centers and the airline's sales offices, as well as via its network of partner travel agencies.
