DR ‹ › The draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal AFCON Morocco 2026 qualifiers will take place today, Wednesday, January 7, in Rabat, officially launching the qualification campaign for Africa's premier men's futsal tournament. The ceremony will be streamed live on CAF TV at 7:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. GMT), CAF announced. A total of 18 national teams will contest the qualifiers, played over two home-and-away knockout rounds. Seven teams will qualify for the final tournament, where they will join host and defending champions Morocco. The qualifiers are structured as follows: · First Round: Eight lowest-ranked teams compete, while 10 teams receive byes. · Second Round: The four First Round winners join the 10 exempted teams to battle for seven final spots. All ties are played over two legs, with aggregate scores deciding qualification. FIFA Futsal Men's World Rankings determine exemptions and pairings. Teams involved include Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Libya, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal, South Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. At the end of the Second Round, the seven aggregate winners will qualify for the CAF Futsal AFCON 2026, alongside Morocco, which automatically qualifies as host and title holder.
