DR ‹ › A 25-year-old man of Moroccan descent was arrested during a border check near Heerlen, a city in the southeast of the Netherlands, after it emerged that he was wanted in Spain in connection with a murder case, according to local media. The suspect was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on Monday by federal police at a border crossing. During the check, he was unable to present valid travel documents and instead showed officers a photo of a Moroccan passport on his phone, raising suspicion. Further checks revealed that the man was the subject of a European arrest warrant issued by Spanish authorities. He was taken into custody and is expected to be extradited to Spain.
