DR ‹ › On Tuesday in Rabat, Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance (DGSN-DGST), received Mikael Wern, Director of Police and head of Denmark's National Unit for Combating Organized Crime. The Danish delegation also included senior security officials and representatives from the Danish Embassy in Rabat. The talks focused on a range of security issues of shared concern, notably the assessment of bilateral cooperation in combating transnational criminal networks and the cross-border movement of terrorist groups at both regional and international levels. Discussions also addressed ways to strengthen coordination mechanisms for tracking, prosecuting, and extraditing wanted individuals, according to a statement from the DGSN-DGST. Both sides underlined the importance of further deepening security cooperation between Morocco and Denmark. To this end, an institutional and legal framework will be put in place to facilitate the exchange of expertise, technical assistance, joint police training, and enhanced operational coordination. In this context, a memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed in the near future. It will serve as a reference framework for reinforced cooperation, further positioning Morocco as a key and reliable partner in the international fight against organized crime, terrorism, and extremism.
