DR ‹ › A Moroccan man caused a two-and-a-half-hour delay to a Vueling flight from Valencia to Amsterdam on Saturday evening after climbing onto the aircraft just minutes before departure. The incident took place while the plane was parked on the tarmac at Manises Airport. The man reportedly gained unauthorized access to the airport and climbed onto the aircraft while carrying a backpack. Three officers from the Spanish Civil Guard intervened and negotiated with him until he agreed to come down, allowing the situation to be brought under control. He was then subjected to standard security and identification checks to ensure he was not carrying any explosive or dangerous items. Initial assessments indicated that he was experiencing mental distress, and he was treated by the airport's psychiatric medical team. According to Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (Aena), the incident, while alarming, posed no risk to passenger safety and did not disrupt overall air traffic operations.
