DR ‹ › Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health (FM6SS) signed a framework agreement in Rabat on Thursday to strengthen cooperation in aeronautical medicine, as part of RAM's strategic development plan through 2037. The partnership provides for the creation of a dedicated Center for Aeronautical Medicine at the Mohammed VI International University Hospital in Bouskoura. The facility will conduct mandatory medical examinations for RAM's flight crew, including initial certification, renewals, return-to-duty assessments, and additional evaluations required for medical fitness certificates, in line with national and international aviation standards. The agreement comes as RAM prepares for major expansion, with plans to quadruple its fleet and increase its flight crew workforce to nearly 10,000 by 2037. According to RAM CEO Abdelhamid Addou, the partnership aims to anticipate the medical needs linked to this growth while placing crew health and operational safety at the heart of the airline's performance. Beyond supporting the airline's expansion, the initiative also seeks to strengthen Morocco's national expertise in aeronautical medicine and reinforce flight safety standards.
