DR ‹ › Morocco has offered to host the upcoming «Finalissima» match between European champions Spain and Copa America holders Argentina, originally scheduled for March 27 in Doha. However, according to Reuters, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has not backed the proposal. The RFEF was reportedly reluctant to support Morocco's bid amid behind-the-scenes tensions over the 2030 World Cup final, which both Spain and Morocco are seeking to host. The match is now in doubt after Qatar suspended football tournaments following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran and retaliatory missile attacks in the region. With Lusail Stadium unlikely to host the game, London has emerged as the leading alternative. Soccer officials from Europe and South America are expected to meet this week to decide whether and where the match will be played. Madrid was initially proposed but rejected by Argentina, which preferred a neutral venue. Miami was also considered but ruled out due to scheduling conflicts.
