DR ‹ › Casablanca is set to host the Africa edition of the DiaspoBoost Summit on April 16 and 17, 2026. This international event underscores the pivotal role of diasporas in driving economic growth across the continent, while also acting as a catalyst for investment and a launchpad for South-South cooperation. With the theme «Diaspora & Development: the Moroccan Model», the summit will convene institutional representatives from Morocco, Belgium, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. According to the organizers, the event will also attract «investors, entrepreneurs, experts, and economic stakeholders actively involved in innovation, financing, and cooperation initiatives». A press release highlights that prominent figures such as André Nyembwe Musungaie, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the DRC focusing on economic and financial affairs, Bertin Mampaka Mankamba, President of the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region, Isaac Mukendi Tshishimbi, Deputy Mayor of the Limete commune and elected municipal councilor, along with Israel Tshimanga Mubenga, head of the communication and tax civism promotion office at the DRC's general tax directorate, will be in attendance. The summit will address «key issues surrounding investment, entrepreneurship, taxation, innovation, training, and African economic cooperation», according to the same source. It will also mark the launch of an operational monitoring committee for projects between Morocco and the DRC.
