DR ‹ › Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, received on Thursday in Rabat Tomasz Siemoniak, Poland's Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of coordinating security services and special agencies. The meeting took place as part of an official working visit by the Polish official, who led a high-level delegation and was accompanied by Poland's ambassador to Morocco. The visit aims to strengthen and expand security cooperation between the two countries. According to a statement from Morocco's National Security and Territorial Surveillance services, the two sides held talks covering several areas of mutual interest, including enhanced coordination and information-sharing on irregular migration, border security, and strengthened operational cooperation and technical assistance in combating organized crime and terrorism, as well as in scientific and technical policing. The discussions also addressed challenges related to terrorist threats at both global and African levels. Both sides shared similar views on high-risk security threats in the Sahel-Sahara region, the Horn of Africa, and other emerging hotspots where terrorist groups remain active. The same source noted that Polish security services are keen to deepen bilateral cooperation with their Moroccan counterparts, viewing Morocco as a reliable and key partner in the fight against terrorism and organized crime. To further consolidate this partnership, Hammouchi and the Polish official agreed to arrange a future visit by the head of Poland's internal security agency to Morocco, with the aim of establishing an institutional framework for bilateral security cooperation. This meeting reflects the shared determination of both countries to strengthen their security collaboration and opens the way for further development of this partnership in a manner that enhances the security of both nations.
