DR ‹ › On Saturday evening, April 11, security services at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca arrested a 34-year-old British national, acting on an international arrest warrant issued by Belgian judicial authorities. The suspect was detained while preparing to board a flight to Dubai. A database check by the General Directorate of National Security confirmed that he was wanted internationally at the request of Belgian authorities on suspicion of involvement in a criminal network engaged in international drug and psychotropic substance trafficking. He has been placed under extradition procedures in accordance with applicable legal provisions, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor. The National Central Bureau in Rabat, affiliated with the General Directorate of National Security, has also notified its Belgian counterpart of the arrest as part of the extradition process.
