DR ‹ › Police in Salé arrested, Wednesday, a 37-year-old Turkish national residing irregularly in Morocco. He was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Turkish judicial authorities. According to a security source, the suspect was apprehended during a security operation in Salé. A check of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) database confirmed that he was wanted under a red notice issued at the request of the National Central Bureau in Ankara, for the enforcement of a judicial sentence related to drug trafficking. The suspect has been placed under extradition proceedings in accordance with the instructions of the competent public prosecutor's office. The National Central Bureau of Interpol in Rabat, under the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), has informed its Turkish counterpart of the arrest pending the completion of extradition procedures. This arrest is part of Morocco's ongoing efforts to strengthen international security cooperation, particularly in tracking down and apprehending individuals wanted in connection with transnational crime.
