DR ‹ › On April 15 in Washington, Morocco and the United States signed a new ten-year military cooperation agreement, marking the 14th meeting of the Moroccan-American Defense Advisory Committee. According to Africa Intelligence, the delegation of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), led by Inspector General Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, reaffirmed Morocco's willingness to contribute to a potential stabilization force in Gaza. The reported contribution would include the deployment of military personnel and police, as well as the management of a field hospital. Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita had previously announced this initiative on February 19 in Washington, during the first meeting of the Peace Council dedicated to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, an initiative launched by U.S. President Donald Trump. Talks at the Pentagon also focused on strengthening Morocco's technical cooperation to support Gulf allies in the face of Iranian threats. According to the same source, Rabat proposed developing a coordinated response with Washington to assist these partners. In this context, French media recently reported what it described as «discreet support» by the Royal Armed Forces to Gulf monarchies in countering Iranian actions.
