DR ‹ › Morocco's team at the 21st Arab U20 Athletics Championship in Tunis has impressively raised their medal count to three golds, seven silvers, and seven bronzes by the end of the second day of competition. On Monday, Saida El Bouzy triumphed in the 800 meters, taking gold, while her fellow Moroccan Khadija Moustakim secured silver. In the men's 800 meters, Imad Bouchajda also brought home gold. In the 3,000 meters steeplechase, Marwa Bencherifa claimed silver and Wissal Azzaba took bronze. Imrane Bentaoui earned silver in the men's 400 meters, with Rania El Hamdaoui capturing bronze in the women's 400 meters. In the 100 meters hurdles, Imane Mafhoul added another silver to Morocco's tally, while Maria Saadi took bronze in the 100 meters, and Kawtar Merzaq earned bronze in the heptathlon. On Sunday, the Moroccan team had already secured one gold, three silvers, and three bronzes. The team, consisting of 31 athletes, including 18 women, continues to compete in this 21st edition of the Arab U20 Athletics Championship, which runs until April 30. Besides Morocco, teams from Tunisia, Algeria, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Sudan, Bahrain, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates are participating in the tournament.
