Best Biscuits Maroc (BBM), a subsidiary of the Anouar Invest group, inaugurated the expansion of its Had Soualem factory on Tuesday, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour. The expansion, representing a total investment of over 420 million dirhams, was carried out between 2022 and 2025. It includes new production lines for wafers (Pickers) and sponge cakes, as well as a chocolate production unit, significantly boosting BBM's capacity to meet growing demand in both domestic and international markets. The project is expected to generate 700 direct jobs and 3,500 indirect jobs, providing a strong boost to the local economy. On this occasion, Minister Mezzour highlighted that the partnership with Best Biscuits Maroc reflects a shared ambition to reinforce Morocco's industrial sovereignty. Additionally, a new agreement has been signed with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to launch an investment program aimed at establishing a new production unit and installing additional lines. The goal is to further develop the biscuit market and enhance the quality of wafers, biscuits, and sponge cakes. This initiative will support import substitution by offering Moroccan-made products that meet international standards, while also fostering innovation through the launch of new, value-added offerings made with 100% Moroccan expertise. It aims to make previously unaffordable products more accessible. With an investment of 275 million dirhams, this new phase of the project will create 300 direct jobs and will not only serve the Moroccan market but also support export growth.
