Oulfa neighborhood in Casablanca was shaken on Sunday morning by a horrific crime: a taxi driver fatally stabbed a young woman in the abdomen inside his apartment, then attempted to dispose of her body by wrapping it in a blanket and preparing to dump it in the street. According to sources cited by Assabah, the suspect lived alone with his underage son after his wife had left the family home some time ago, a situation he reportedly exploited to bring women to his apartment from time to time. On the night between Saturday and Sunday, he encountered the victim by chance and brought her home. In the early hours of the morning, an argument broke out, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, which ended in the brutal killing. After the crime, the man attempted to clean up the blood and tightly wrapped the body in a blanket. He then approached an acquaintance, a waiter at a nearby café, and asked for help «moving furniture». However, as soon as the waiter lifted the blanket, he became suspicious and fled to alert the authorities. Realizing the situation was unraveling, the suspect abandoned the blanket in the street and fled the scene. Judicial police and forensic investigators quickly arrived, launched an investigation, and took statements from both the minor son and the waiter. A warrant has been issued for the suspect, who remains at large.
