King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolences and compassion to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari. In his message, the King expressed deep sorrow and emotion upon learning of the death of former President Buhari. In this painful moment, the Sovereign extended his sincere condolences and heartfelt compassion to President Tinubu, to the late President's family, and to the brotherly Nigerian people, who have lost one of their devoted sons, a man who dedicated his life to selflessly serving the higher interests of his country, contributing to its development, progress, and prosperity. «While sharing in your grief at this painful loss, I fondly recall my working meetings with the late President, which led to the launch of promising joint development projects that laid the groundwork for a new chapter in the close friendship and cooperation between our two brotherly nations», wrote the King.
