Morocco's national women's football team will face Mali in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), currently being held in Morocco. The match is scheduled for this Friday at 8:00 PM at Rabat's Olympic Stadium. Mali qualified despite a heavy 4–0 defeat to South Africa on Monday evening at the Stade d'Honneur in Oujda, on the final day of Group C. With 4 points, Mali finished third in the group, behind leaders South Africa (7 points) and Ghana (4 points), who defeated Tanzania 4–1 in Berkane. Meanwhile, Morocco topped Group A with 7 points, following two victories—against DR Congo (4–2) and Senegal (1–0)—and a 2–2 draw with Zambia. The Atlas Lionesses will look to continue their strong run in front of a home crowd, as they aim for a spot in the semi-finals.
