The Polisario Front has firmly established itself as a regular participant in partnership meetings between the African Union and the European Union. On Friday, July 18, the Front participated in the preparatory meeting for the ninth session of the high-level dialogue on science, technology, and innovation policy between the two entities, set to take place in Brussels this October. «The preparatory meeting, organized via videoconference at the invitation of the European Commission, brought together representatives from the member states of the African Union, their counterparts from the European Union, as well as relevant officials from both commissions», reported the Polisario's press agency. It's noteworthy that the European Union had previously accepted the presence of Polisario members at a ministerial meeting held on June 28 in Rome with the African Union, which focused on agricultural development in Africa. A few weeks prior, the Front also took part in another AU-EU meeting at the level of foreign ministers, organized on May 21 in Brussels. However, beyond meetings with Japan and the EU, other partners of the African Union, such as Russia, China, Turkey, Italy, South Korea, Indonesia, and the United States, continue to exclude the Polisario.
