In a joint operation with Moroccan authorities, Spanish security forces have arrested two individuals of Moroccan descent in Válfogona de Balaguer, Lleida. One of the suspects, a 26-year-old, has a history of imprisonment in Morocco due to activities linked to jihadist terrorism. As reported by Spanish media, the primary suspect allegedly entered Melilla irregularly two years ago before relocating to Lleida, where he was apprehended. Initially involved in the second-hand clothing trade, he later exhibited signs of radicalization, frequently accessing and consuming jihadist propaganda online. Authorities believe he was actively recruiting, indoctrinating, and self-training for potential terrorist acts. His alleged influence extended to the second suspect, a 24-year-old man also arrested in the operation, who has a record of minor offenses and is now under judicial supervision. During last Thursday's raids on their residences, police seized several electronic devices containing ISIS propaganda materials.
