Amid the arches of the 7th International Gastronomy Village (September 11-14), nestled at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, Morocco dazzles with its rich tapestry of cuisine, craftsmanship, and lifestyle. This is more than just a feast for the senses; it's an emotional journey that resonates far beyond the palate. The Moroccan pavilion, draped in national colors and adorned with designs reminiscent of the welcoming caidal tents, extends an inviting embrace to visitors, offering a glimpse into the heart of Morocco. Vibrant rugs, intricate lanterns, zellige tiles, pottery, and an array of authentic pastries and dishes evoke a land known for its warmth, passion, and conviviality. This showcase is spearheaded by Hassan Ichouan, a young enthusiast of Moroccan culinary arts. «I wanted to invite the public to discover or rediscover our heritage through the universal language of flavors and to let them experience what Moroccan cuisine so beautifully conveys: generosity, history, and emotions», he shared. «By participating in an event that gathers over sixty countries, I aimed to honor the excellence and sophistication of our gastronomy. Presenting dishes that marry tradition with modernity in the enchanting setting of the Eiffel Tower is also about sharing a way of life in a festive and friendly atmosphere», he explained. This is precisely the spirit that Anne-Laure Descombin, the event's founder, has been nurturing since 2016: «This village is not just a place for tasting. It is a space for transmission, encounters, and emotions. Our culinary heritages are alive, and they tell the story of who we are and what we share.» As one of the most anticipated events in the French capital, the International Gastronomy Village offers visitors a four-day culinary expedition into the heart of global cultures. This journey is enriched with tasting areas, product sales, and craft workshops, all set in a lively atmosphere enhanced by concerts, shows, and exhibitions.
