Morocco is preparing to host the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. To efficiently manage the anticipated influx of fans crossing its borders and ensure smooth logistics, the country has introduced a streamlined process for obtaining the Electronic Travel Authorization to Morocco (AEVM). This initiative is specifically for nationals from African countries that do not require a visa to enter Morocco. This measure is aimed at citizens from Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gabon, Niger, Senegal, Togo, and Tunisia, who are planning to attend the AFCON 2025 matches. To secure the AEVM, applicants will need to apply online through the YALLA app, available starting September 25. This platform will offer a range of services for fans, including obtaining the FanID, which is essential for accessing stadiums and fan zones. However, «travelers from these same countries wishing to visit Morocco for other purposes (such as tourism, business, or family visits) during this period must submit their application at least 96 hours before departure via the official portal: https://www.access-maroc.ma, and not through the YALLA app,» clarify sources from Moroccan embassies in certain African countries. «Exempt from this requirement are holders of diplomatic, service, special, or official passports; residents in Morocco with a valid residence permit; travelers in transit at Moroccan airports without leaving the international zone; nationals of the concerned countries married to Moroccan citizens upon presentation of proof; and individuals over the age of 55.» The simplified AEVM procedure via the YALLA app is temporary and will be in effect from September 25, 2025, to January 25, 2026. Once AFCON-Morocco 2025 concludes, the entry procedures to Moroccan territory will revert to their usual protocols.
