The programming school 1337 took first place at the Moroccan Collegiate Programming Contest (MCPC), held from September 19 to 21, 2025, at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) campus in Rabat. The training of the institution's participants was coordinated by Jalal Maaouni, a graduate of the same school, who mentored the four competing teams. «We have finally put an end to a frustration that has burned for seven years, always within reach, yet never in our hands. From the very first day at 1337, our eyes were set on the MCPC trophy, knowing that real results require patience and perseverance», said Jalal Maaouni proudly. According to organizers, the contest brought together «the best Moroccan students in algorithms». A total of 72 applications were submitted from schools and universities across the country. «After the selection process, 44 teams were chosen, representing 31 institutions from 17 cities. In all, 132 participants filled the halls of the UM6P College of Computing – Rabat Campus, which was transformed for the occasion into a true arena of logic and coding,» the statement noted. This edition also set a national record, with six Moroccan teams qualifying for the ACPC. The MCPC serves as the official gateway to the Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC), scheduled for December 2026 in Egypt, which in turn determines qualifiers for the ICPC World Finals. The Moroccan Collegiate Programming Contest (MCPC) is a national algorithmic programming competition that brings together the country's top student teams to solve complex problems within a limited timeframe. It is also the official qualifier for the ACPC, which opens the door to the ICPC World Finals — the premier global stage for university-level programming. Final Ranking 1. 1337 2. EMI 3.
