The 27th edition of Jazz in Rabat wrapped up successfully on Saturday, September 27, after three sold-out evenings of music. Hosted for the first time in the new setting of Hassan II Park in the capital, the festival, held from September 25 to 27, celebrated unique encounters between Moroccan artists and musicians from across Europe. It also reaffirmed its status as a «must-attend event for intercultural dialogue through music», according to the European Union delegation in Morocco. «In this unique atmosphere, European jazz and Moroccan music came together, offering three exceptional evenings that captivated the audience», the EU delegation said in a statement. Dimiter Tzantchev, EU Ambassador to Morocco, stressed that the festival «is much more than a musical event. It is a space for creation and dialogue, where artists and audiences meet, exchange, and enrich each other», calling it a true reflection of the partnership between both sides. This year's program placed a special emphasis on original creations with a strong female presence and memorable collaborations, including: Tania Giannouli Trio with Abdelfettah Houssaini, Céline Bonacina Quartet with Hamza Bennani Smires and Driss Nigra, Alba Careta Group with Jazz'in Trio, Sara Bolyki & Petra Várallyay with Tchubi Sextet, A.M.E. with Mehdi Qamoum, and Lina Nyberg Quartet with Bab L'Bluz. The festival also extended beyond the stage with a street performance and participatory workshops led by Stéphane Galland, Tchubi, Axel Camil, and Adil Hanin. An initiative of the EU in Morocco, Jazz in Rabat is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and the Wilaya of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.
