Nine people were killed and six others were seriously injured in a road accident that occurred on Saturday along provincial road No. 4042, near Douar Taâouniat El Haouch Ouahed, in the commune of Chbanate, caïdat of Zirara, under the province of Sidi Kacem. The tragedy took place at around 6 p.m. following a collision between a truck and a large vehicle carrying 15 people, including the driver, according to local authorities in the province of Sidi Kacem. Upon being notified of the accident, local authorities, along with Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection units, rushed to the scene to take the necessary measures. The same source added that the injured were evacuated to the provincial hospital center in Sidi Kacem, while the bodies of the deceased were transferred to the hospital morgue. An investigation has been opened by the Royal Gendarmerie, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office, to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
