The Government Council has reviewed and approved draft decree 2.23.715, amending decree 2.08.358 of Rajab 5, 1429 (July 9, 2008), which sets the amount of family allowances distributed by the National Social Security Fund (CNSS). Following its weekly meeting this Thursday in Rabat, the government announced that this measure aims to honor its commitment «contained in the agreement signed on April 30, 2022, with the most representative trade unions within the framework of social dialogue». In a communiqué, the government emphasized that the draft decree, presented by Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance, is focused on «increasing the amount of family allowances for the fourth, fifth, and sixth children to 100 dirhams per month». This initiative is part of a broader strategy to bolster support for households, particularly as allowances in this sector have not seen significant increases in years. It seeks to address the evolving living conditions of families and respond to the mounting pressure on purchasing power.
