DR ‹ › A partnership agreement was signed on Wednesday in Rabat between the Higher Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ), the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor's Office, and the Commission for the Right of Access to Information (CDAI). This agreement marks their commitment to integrate with the National Portal for the Right of Access to Information. Signing the agreement were Mohamed Abdennabaoui, the First President of the Court of Cassation and Deputy President of the CSPJ, Hicham Balaoui, the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation and President of the Public Prosecutor's Office, and Omar Seghrouchni, President of the CDAI. On this occasion, Abdennabaoui highlighted that for the Council, enabling the right of access to information stems from a profound belief in openness and facilitating public access to information. He emphasized that this is essential for building trust in the justice system and upholding principles of governance, integrity, and transparency. Balaoui echoed this sentiment, noting that the signing underscores the judiciary's dedication and ambition to bolster its role in ensuring individuals' right to access information. He expressed hope that this partnership will meet its objectives and serve as an effective institutional framework. This initiative has led representatives of the Public Prosecutor's Office to focus on managing, updating, classifying, and safeguarding information within a database, as well as overseeing the publication of information. Seghrouchni remarked that the signing of this agreement is a significant step, illustrating a growing institutional awareness of the vital importance of the right of access to information as a foundation of equality, in alignment with the Constitution. The National Portal for the Right of Access to Information (PNDAI) allows both citizens and foreign residents in Morocco to submit and track their information requests and complaints under Law 31.13, while also providing the CDAI with accurate data and indicators.
