CAF has announced the list of 73 match officials selected for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, scheduled from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. The roster includes 28 referees, 31 assistant referees and 14 VAR officials from across the continent, many of whom have officiated major CAF competitions. The list includes five Moroccan officials: referees Jalal Jayed and Mustapha Kechchaf, assistant referees Zakaria Brinsi and Mostafa Akarkad, and VAR official Hamza El Fariq. All officials are expected to arrive in Morocco on 15 December for an intensive preparatory programme led by CAF's Referees Department, covering physical, technical and theoretical assessments. The selection reflects CAF's commitment to refereeing excellence and the highest technical standards ahead of Africa's biggest football event, the confederation said in a statement.
