DR ‹ › The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a warning about severe weather conditions expected from Monday to Wednesday, affecting several provinces across Morocco. Residents should brace for snowfall, heavy thunderstorms, and strong winds. Significant snowfall is forecasted from midnight Tuesday to midday Wednesday. The provinces of Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, and Azilal could see snow depths between 50 and 80 cm. Meanwhile, Ifrane, Chichaoua, Béni Mellal, Khénifra, Midelt, Taroudant, and Tinghir are expected to receive between 30 and 50 cm of snow. These predictions come as part of an «orange» alert level bulletin issued by the DGM. In the provinces of Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Guercif, Taza, and Boulemane, snowfall is expected to range from 10 to 30 cm during the same period. In addition, heavy thunderstorms are anticipated from 8:00 PM on Monday to 3:00 PM on Tuesday. Rainfall could reach between 45 and 65 mm in Taounate, Al Hoceima, Ouezzane, Chefchaouen, Khénifra, Ifrane, Béni Mellal, Azilal, Al Haouz, and Taza. Other areas, including Mohammedia, Sefrou, Fès, Moulay Yaâcoub, Fquih Ben Salah, Khémisset, El Kelaâ des Sraghna, Settat, Khouribga, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Berrechid, Benslimane, Kénitra, Mediouna, Casablanca, Rabat, Nouaceur, Skhirat-Témara, Salé, Tanger-Assilah, Larache, Fahs-Anjra, M'diq-Fnideq, Tétouan, El Hajeb, and Meknès, might experience rainfall between 35 and 45 mm. Showers ranging from 25 to 35 mm are also forecasted for Marrakech, Rehamna, Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Sidi Bennour, Safi, Essaouira, and El Jadida, according to the same bulletin. Moreover, violent wind gusts, reaching speeds of 75 to 85 km/h, are expected from 6:00 AM on Tuesday to 6:00 AM on Wednesday in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Zagora, Tata, Sidi Ifni, Al Haouz, Guelmim, Tiznit, Azilal, Midelt, Boulemane, Guercif, Tinghir, and Taourirt.
