DR ‹ › In the context of the 5th French-Moroccan Interparliamentary Forum, the President of the French Senate, Gérard Larcher, and the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, are set to make an official visit to Rabat on January 29 and 30, 2026. Accompanying them will be a diverse parliamentary delegation of sixteen members, comprising eight deputies and eight senators. This visit seeks to reaffirm the exceptional and strengthened partnership between France and Morocco at the parliamentary level. It follows the respective visits of Yaël Braun-Pivet to Morocco in December 2024 and Gérard Larcher in February 2025. The joint presence of the presidents of both chambers underscores a mutual commitment to reviving parliamentary diplomacy between Paris and Rabat, especially since the French-Moroccan Interparliamentary Forum has not convened since 2019. During their stay, Gérard Larcher and Yaël Braun-Pivet will hold meetings with the Moroccan Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita. They also plan to engage with representatives of the French community residing in Morocco.
