In a red-level alert, the DGM warned that heavy, occasionally stormy rainfall totaling 100 to 150 mm is expected on Wednesday, from midnight to 11 p.m., in the provinces of Chefchaouen, M'diq–Fnideq, Tetouan, Tanger–Assilah, Ouezzane, Larache, and Fahs-Anjra. An orange-level alert indicates that rainfall amounts of 40 to 80 mm will affect M'diq–Fnideq, Tetouan, Tanger–Assilah, Ouezzane, Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, Taounate, and Al Hoceïma from Monday at 10:30 a.m. to Tuesday at noon. During the same period, stormy rainfall of 25 to 40 mm is forecast in Sidi Kacem, Kenitra, Ifrane, Taza, Moulay Yaacoub, Sefrou, Fès, Khenifra, El Hajeb, Meknès, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Salé, Rabat, Khemisset, and Sidi Slimane. Additional rainfall of 40 to 60 mm is expected on Wednesday, from midnight to 11 p.m., in Al Hoceïma, Taounate, Taza, and Kenitra. The DGM also forecast heavy snowfall, ranging from 40 to 60 cm, at elevations above 1,500 meters from Monday at 2 p.m. until Wednesday at noon, in Sefrou, Boulemane, Taza, Guercif, Ifrane, Midelt, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, and Tinghir. Snow accumulations of 10 to 40 cm are expected in Al Haouz, Azilal, Ouarzazate, Chefchaouen, and Al Hoceïma. Strong wind gusts of 75 to 85 km/h are expected on Monday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., in Taza, Jerada, Figuig, Guercif, Boulemane, Midelt, Taourirt, and Nador. Similar conditions are forecast on Tuesday, from midnight to 8 p.m., in Boulemane, Sefrou, Taroudant, Ifrane, Tinghir, Figuig, Tata, Ouarzazate, and Midelt. From Tuesday at 8 p.m. to Wednesday at 11 p.m., very strong winds ranging between 75 and 100 km/h are expected in a wide range of provinces, including M'diq–Fnideq, Tetouan, Tanger–Assilah, Ouezzane, Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, Taza, Taounate, Guercif, Al Hoceïma, Moulay Yaacoub, Sefrou, Fès, Boulemane, Midelt, Ifrane, El Hajeb, Meknès, Khemisset, Taourirt, Oujda–Angad, Nador, Jerada, Figuig, Driouch, Berkane, Sidi Slimane, Kenitra, and Sidi Kacem. Additionally, cold temperatures ranging between –6°C and 0°C are expected on Tuesday in Al Haouz, Azilal, Tinghir, Midelt, and Ouarzazate.
