DR ‹ › Stade Rennais have completed the signing of Yassir Zabiri, a Moroccan U20 international, from Famalicão. A full agreement between the two clubs was reached on Monday afternoon. The transfer fee for the 20-year-old is reported to be €10 million, with an additional €2 million in performance-based bonuses linked to a set number of appearances. A left-footed and versatile forward capable of playing across the entire attacking line, Zabiri has been a top recruitment target for Rennes for several months. The young striker was trained at KAC Marrakech before joining the Mohammed VI Football Academy, where he developed alongside long-time acquaintance Abdelhamid Aït-Boudlal. He later rose to prominence on the international stage after winning the U20 World Cup with Morocco. Zabiri's performances had attracted interest from several clubs, including Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. However, the player made it clear that his priority was to join the Rennes project. His arrival is expected to strengthen Habib Beye's attacking options as the second half of the season approaches.
