DR ‹ › The Atlantic storm «Marta» that hit northern Morocco on Sunday has tragically claimed the lives of four individuals on the outskirts of Tangier. Rescue teams are currently engaged in a desperate search for three more people who have been swept away by the floods in various regions, as severe weather conditions, including strong winds and torrential rains, persist. This information was reported by the local site Tanja 24. In the rural community of Dar Chaoui, civil defense teams have recovered the bodies of two victims. Additionally, two young siblings lost their lives in the Hajar Al-Nahl community when their family's mud house wall collapsed under the pressure of the storm's winds and floods. The storm has also caused significant material damage. Floodwaters have severed the road connecting the Gueznaya industrial area to the El Aouama area, preventing numerous workers from reaching their workplaces. In the El Harrarine area, rainwater inundated the ground floors and commercial stores of the Doha and Knouzi complexes, leading to considerable damage to goods and equipment. Furthermore, the floods have swept away several cars in the neighborhoods of Beni Makada and Mghogha.
