DR ‹ › A large-scale operation was launched on Wednesday in the Moulay Boughaleb urban district of Ksar El Kebir to receive residents affected by the recent floods, with the aim of conducting a detailed assessment of the damage to their homes and businesses. This procedural step is part of the government's emergency program to support the affected areas. The registration process seeks to compile a comprehensive list of impacted residents and document the structural condition of buildings, ahead of the deployment of a specialized technical committee tasked with carrying out on-site inspections and determining compensation amounts for rehabilitation. Administrative teams have been mobilized at the urban district headquarters to receive citizens and assist them in reporting the extent of their losses. This includes damage to housing infrastructure as well as to internal equipment and furnishings, in order to ensure a thorough census and fair compensation for all affected families. According to local authorities, the technical committee, set to be dispatched immediately after the registration phase is completed—will conduct a precise evaluation of the damage based on established technical criteria. The objective is to accelerate the disbursement of compensation for the repair and restoration of homes and shops, and to help restore normal life in the city as quickly as possible.
