Kerrone Stanislaus, the first Saint Lucian to earn a medical degree in Morocco. / Stanislaus ‹ › Saint Lucia has welcomed its first national to earn a medical degree in Morocco. Kerrone Courtney Stanislaus arrived in Rabat in 2018, where he completed his studies at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, overcoming linguistic and cultural challenges. «Being the first Saint Lucian to graduate from medical school in Morocco is both an honour and a profound responsibility», he told the local newspaper St Lucia Times, describing the journey as «really overwhelming» at first, but one that strengthened his resilience and faith. His thesis, «The Impact of Physical Exercise Therapy on Cancer Patients: Clinicians' Perspective», earned the school's graduation prize. «I truly believe exercise can serve as a safe, cheaper and feasible adjunctive approach in our ongoing global battle against cancer», he said. He encouraged others to consider Morocco as a serious academic pathway, stressing that those who are «hungry enough and cling to a sense of purpose greater than themselves» can thrive there.
