DR ‹ › National tean coach Walid Regragui has officially ended his tenure with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), French newspaper L'Equipe reported this Wednesday. According to the report, Regragui submitted his resignation immediately after the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations, but the federation chose to delay any announcement until a successor had been identified. The same source indicated that the FRMF is expected to officially announce the termination of Regragui's contract on Thursday. As for his replacement, L'Equipe reports that Mohamed Ouahbi, the Moroccan-Belgian coach currently working in youth development at Anderlecht, will take over the role. Ouahbi recently led Morocco to victory at the Under-20 World Cup last October. He is expected to be assisted by Portuguese coach João Sacramento and former international Youssef Hadji. The federation had previously denied reports circulating in national and international media suggesting that Regragui's contract would be terminated.
