DR ‹ › Israel is preparing to take a new step in the plan proposed by President Donald Trump for the Gaza Strip, which involves the deployment of thousands of foreign troops as part of an International Stabilization Force (ISF). According to Israeli media, the force is expected to begin operations on May 1. The initial deployment will take place in the Rafah area, around the Palestinian city currently under construction with the support of the United Arab Emirates, before gradually expanding to other areas within the «yellow line», a security zone defined by the plan. The international force is expected to include around 5,000 Indonesian soldiers, along with additional contingents from Kazakhstan, Morocco, Albania, and Kosovo. By the end of March, military representatives from these countries are expected to visit Israel and the Gaza Strip for preliminary assessments ahead of the deployment, according to the same source. The mission is expected to proceed despite regional tensions linked to the conflicts involving Iran and Lebanon, in which Israel and the United States are involved. In this context, the first foreign contingents are expected to arrive next month in Jordan for preparatory training, including live-fire exercises, before their operational deployment in Gaza. For the record, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita announced on February 19 in Washington that Morocco had agreed to join the International Stabilization Force intended to operate in Gaza.
